About This Project
The management company of a multi-occupier industrial estate in South Yorkshire commissioned Markex to carry out a full road marking refresh across the estate's internal road network. The estate had grown significantly over the previous five years, with new units added and the internal road layout extended. The existing markings were faded and incomplete.

The estate's road network had expanded organically over several years, resulting in inconsistent and incomplete markings across the site. Several give way junctions had no markings at all, speed limits were not marked, and the main entrance had no anti-skid surfacing despite a history of near-miss incidents. The work needed to be carried out without closing the estate to HGV traffic.
How Markex Delivered
Markex carried out a full site survey and produced a road marking plan covering the entire estate road network. All works were carried out in phases to keep the estate operational throughout. Thermoplastic materials were used throughout for durability, with anti-skid surfacing applied at the main entrance and two internal junctions identified as high-risk.
